At the time of writing this, I am living in Seoul for 9 years. Time has indeed flown, and I have accumulated a tremendous amount of memories and photographs. I wish to change that.

I have designated a separate part of my website to share images that wouldn`t otherwise see the light of day. I see these images as journal entries of what I experience.

I`ll start this entry with Seongbuk-dong. For those who don`t know, a dong is a neighbourhood or administrative division within a city in South Korea. It`s one of my favourite neighbourhoods to explore. It`s full of greenery, quaint alleys, traditional buildings/homes(한옥), craft stores and a plethora of unique and sophisticated looking cafes. There are quite a few tea houses, too(dedicated journal entry coming soon). I immediately sensed that residents had a keen appreciation for plants. As a plant lover, I was extremely fond of this.

If you`re into cafes, plants, crafts and an overall easygoing atmosphere, this neighbourhood won't disappoint.

Seongbuk-dong starts at Hansung University Station(line 4) and extends north. I certainly recommend a walkabout in Seongbuk-dong.
